We are a family run business based on our traditional West Wales Smallholding breeders & suppliers of dendrobaena and lob worms, supplying wormeries, composting and recycling products.

FISHING

Dendrobaena worms are a tough and lively worm and are the most popular fishing bait worm in the world.  Whether you are fishing in canals, pools, ponds or rivers these are a brilliant course fishing worm, which we supply in small and medium sizes depending on which species to are hoping to catch.   (large worms need to be ordered 2 weeks in advance).
Lob worms are a larger more meaty worm and are prized highly for, among others, game fishing and catfish.

COMPOSTING

Dendrobaena worms are also great composting worms and we can supply packs to inoculate wormeries or composting systems.

WORM PRICES

1kg packs will consume/process up to 0.5 kg of waste food.
Composting worm packs are provided with larger volumes of bedding and more
visable worm cacoons, to assist in the transitional period and aid composting.

BOKASI BRAN BUCKETS         :               £37.99 + p&p

These innovative products enable all your kitchen scraps, including meat, dairy and cooked food to be composted into a fabulous soil conditioner.

BOKASHI, Japanese for fermented organic matter is still relatively new in the UK and is an extremely easy system to use and unlike a wormery can take everything from your kitchen.  Bokashi is a mixture of bran, molasses and a special ingredient called Effective Microbes (EMS).  EMS are a mixture of bacteria and funghi which when mixed with other ingredients and scattered over food waste will effectively break it down into an excellent soil conditioner, which can then be added to a compost bin or buried in the garden.

The buckets are easy to use:

• Place some bokashi bran on the strainer.
• Add your kitchen waste (cut into small pieces).
• Sprinkle a handful of bokashi bran over the top of the waste.
• Press the food down with a potato masher to expel air.
• Replace lid.
• Continue until full, alternating between layer of food and bokashi bran.
• Draw off any liquid that is produced, dilute 1:100 and use as a plant food.
• Leave bucket to ferment for around 2 weeks.
• When the bucket is ready the contents will have a sweet and sour smell and can be placed in the compost bin or garden.

Very robust, hard wearing and UV protected plastic.  The wormery has a massive surface area for quicker composting.  Fern green in colour.

The wormery size can be increased by adding extra trays.  The model contains 1 x sump and 2 x 36 litre composting trays.  Adding additional trays the size can increase from 36 – 72 – 108 litres, with each additional tray costing approximately £10 each.

WORMERIES

The wormeries we have for sale here are made from toughened plastic and they come with a 5 year warranty against breakage.

The worms can be sent later if the wormery is a gift.  Simply choose the amount of worms ordered with the product and get a Voucher instead of the worms to allow the recipient to set up the wormery in their own time.  A charge of £5 extra is to cover additional postage costs incurred when sending the worms at a later date.
